Johnny Cash – M, DOB: April 2023

Meet Johnny Cash, the Man in Black Stripes, ready to steal your heart. ❤️

Found in Southwest Detroit , Johnny Cash is a 3-year-old tabby tuxedo gentleman with old-soul charm and lover-boy instincts. Think velvet voice, steady gaze, and the kind of presence that makes a room feel quieter and warmer the moment he settles in. He sleeps stretched across your chest like it is his rightful stage, or draped over your head if you dare turn on your side. While you pet him, he looks up at you with those soft, adoring eyes, like you wrote the song and he is living in it.

Johnny is chatty in the best way. Sweet commentary, gentle opinions, never loud, never demanding. He is affectionate, deeply bonded to his person, and fully harness trained, which feels extremely on brand for a cat named Johnny Cash. He is the kind of companion who wants to be near you, with you, and very clearly chooses you every day.

Like any true legend, he comes with a few footnotes. Johnny has a chicken allergy that is easily managed by checking labels. He does great on Orijen Red and happily enjoys seafood Churu like a king. He also has a mild heart murmur that will not impact his quality of life. High maintenance, sure. Worth it, absolutely. He gives back tenfold in love, loyalty, and cuddles.

Johnny Cash is ready for a forever kind of love. Roses fade, chocolate disappears, but a cat who sleeps on your heart and looks at you like you hung the moon is the real romance. 🖤

Albie & Binx – M, DOB: July 2025

Bonded Pair

Meet Albie and Binx, a bonded pair of brothers from Morningside who look like they were designed by an artist with a very good sense of contrast.

Albie is the cream-point dreamboat with bright blue eyes and the confidence of a cat who believes the world is his personal adventure park. He was the first of the trio to approach people and say, “Alright, what’s going on here?” Coordination is optional for Albie. Courage is not. If there is a tree to climb, a ledge to explore, or a bold decision to make, he is already halfway there. His siblings often use him as a pillow, which he accepts as the price of being the big brother.

Then there is Binx.

Where Albie is sunshine, Binx is midnight. Sleek black coat, piercing green eyes, and the tiniest white star on his chest like a secret signature. Binx is thoughtful, sensitive, and takes his time getting comfortable with new people and situations. But once he trusts you, you will discover a very gentle soul who loves ear scratches, chin rubs, and quiet companionship.

Binx also happens to be the official groomer of the family. He takes personal responsibility for making sure everyone is looking sharp, clean, and camera ready. A true professional.

These two balance each other beautifully. Albie brings the bold energy and curiosity, while Binx provides the calm, thoughtful heart of the duo. Together they create the perfect mix of adventure and quiet comfort.

If you have ever admired the beauty of opposites that fit perfectly side by side, Albie and Binx are your pair. One bright as morning, the other calm as night, both ready to fill a home with companionship, curiosity, and the quiet comfort of brotherhood.

Celeste & Penelope – M/F, DOB: 2022/2024

Special Case – Potential Barn or Garage Cats. Adoption fee for Pair: $80

Bonded Pair

Celeste and Penelope are a bonded pair who have come a long way from their early days surviving on the porches of Clark Street in Southwest Detroit. They’ve traded the noise of the streets for the quiet rhythm of indoor life, and while they still carry their cautious hearts, they’ve learned that safety and maybe even love can be found in soft voices and gentle patience.

Celeste, the one-eyed gentleman with a name as bright as the stars, has shown incredible courage on his journey. Once terrified of touch, he now enjoys cautious pets and even scratchies from his foster’s “petting stick.” He’s partially blind, a little jumpy, and sometimes swats when startled but behind that brave front is a cat who wants to trust, and who’s learning that he can.

Penelope, his quiet shadow and steadfast companion, is still too shy for touch, but her slow blinks speak volumes. She’s a watcher, always close to Celeste’s side, finding comfort in his warmth. Together, they curl up to nap and chase each other at night, a secret little world of two souls who’ve only ever had each other.

They’re not lap cats (yet), and they may never be. But for someone with a patient heart and a soft spot for the misunderstood, Celeste and Penelope could be the most rewarding pair you’ll ever meet. They’d also do beautifully as safe barn cats, keeping each other company wherever they go.

We’re hoping to find a loving and patient human (or family!) who will open their home and their heart to this special pair.

Love doesn’t always arrive in purrs and cuddles. Sometimes, it comes in quiet trust, slow blinks, and the sound of two shy friends learning what home feels like.

Soruyo – M, DOB: 2024

Meet Soruyo, a 1.5-year-old void from Southwest Detroit who proves that Friday the 13th luck might actually be the best kind.

Soruyo has the classic look. Sleek black coat, watchful eyes, and that quiet presence that makes people stop and say, “Now that is a good cat.”

Soruyo is an affectionate boy who bonds closely with his people. Once he feels safe, he loves curling up right on your shoulder or draping across your arm while you sit and relax. He is the kind of cat who wants to be close, quietly keeping you company while the world goes on around you.

His story has not been the easiest. Soruyo spent time outside after being pushed out of the place he once knew, and it is clear that winter in Detroit was not something he was ready for. Because of that, he can be a little cautious at first and prefers calm spaces where he can settle in at his own pace.

Given his past experiences, Soruyo would likely do best as the solo king of the house, where he can soak up all the attention without worrying about other cats picking on him.

So on this 313 Day, if you are looking for a loyal companion, a quiet cuddle buddy, and a little Friday-the-13th good luck wrapped in a sleek black coat, Soruyo might be your guy.

Because sometimes the best things in Detroit come from the shadows of an alley… and end up stealing your whole heart.

Ladybug – F, DOB: April 2025

Meet Ladybug, our early spring girl from East English Village. Ten months old, curious as the day is long, and ready to bloom in a home of her own.

If Cricket is the love-struck flopper, Ladybug is the explorer. She is brave, thoughtful, and always investigating something. A cabinet slightly open. A sunbeam shifting across the floor. A toy that needs to be conquered. She wants to know the world, and she wants to do it with confidence.

Ladybug loves being near her people. Her favorite place is at your feet while you work or unwind, quietly keeping watch like a tiny guardian of the house. She is beginning to discover that pets and cuddles are actually quite lovely.

She thrives with other playful cats and actively seeks out wrestling matches and zoomie sessions. A feline friend would suit her beautifully. She also lives peacefully with a Black Lab, meeting him with calm neutrality and a steady gaze.

And those eyes. Honey colored. Liquid sunshine. Paired with a silky, marbled coat that looks painted by hand. She is striking without even trying.

This is your early spring sign. New season. Fresh start. A bright-eyed girl ready to bloom right at your feet. 🌷🐞

Edith & Cortado – F/M, DOB: October 2025 / August 2025

Bonded Pair

Meet Edith and Cortado, a bonded pair of black cats straight out of your favorite late-night coffee shop. Found in the Islandview neighborhood of Detroit, these two are different blends from different litters, but together they are the perfect cup.

Edith is your bold roast. Confident, social, and always in the middle of things, she wants to be wherever you are. She’s playful, curious, and runs on pure charm. Her purr is warm and steady, the kind that settles into your bones. She is also known for sneak-attacking toes under blankets, which feels very on brand for a cat who lives for interaction.

Cortado is the gentle pour-over. Younger, quieter, and still learning that humans are safe, he needs a little time to bloom. He’s just as playful as Edith, but shyer, watching first and trusting slowly. Thankfully, Edith is there to show him the ropes, prove that laps are good, and that people come with snacks and love.

Cortado was found with his head stuck in a coffee mug, scared and smelling faintly like a vanilla latte, which feels like destiny more than coincidence. Since then, he’s been making steady progress, especially with Edith by his side.

They balance each other beautifully. One bold, one soft. One confident, one cautious. Best enjoyed together, always.

If your home could use a little warmth, a little magic, and a bonded pair that feels like a quiet café at night, Edith and Cortado are ready to move in.

Goldie – female, DOB: 2024

Meet Goldie.
Two years old. Orange girl. Built entirely out of sunshine, curiosity, and questionable decisions involving trees.

Goldie was found wandering Burt Road between Outer Drive and Eaton, living life like the world was her personal playground. She is bold, friendly, confident, and the type of cat who walks into a room like she already knows everyone’s name.

This is not a windowsill ornament of a cat.

Goldie is an explorer. A climber. A nose-first-into-everything adventurer with bright eyes and a heart wired for fun. She loves the outdoors, loves to investigate, loves to be where the action is, and would absolutely thrive with someone who wants a little sidekick instead of a decorative pillow.

She would likely do well with other animals who respect her sparkle, and she has all the makings of an adventure cat for the right person. Harness, backpack, road trips, backyard hangouts. She is ready.

If your life could use more color, more movement, and a small orange soul who treats every day like a brand new chapter, Goldie is waiting.

Behavior with cats and dogs – unknown but probably good

Solana – female, DOB: 2024

Meet Solana, a calico Valentine with a heart that is learning how to be held.

Found in Cornerstone Village, Solana is about two years old and has already lived a full chapter of life, including raising kittens of her own. Now it is her turn. She is sweet and striking and a little unsure about how love works when it is meant for her. She asks for pets, growls while she gets them, then immediately leans back in for more like she is negotiating with her own feelings. It is oddly charming and very honest.

Solana shows affection in her own way. Her signature move is a nonstop little butt wiggle when she is being pet, paired with enthusiastic chin and head rubs on anything nearby, including you. She is vocal when she has something to say and unapologetic about her preferences, especially when seafood wet food is involved. She knows what she likes, and she is not afraid to tell you.

She would thrive as the only cat in the home, soaking up quiet attention and learning, at her own pace, that love doesn’t have to be complicated or rushed. Solana is not a instant fairy-tale romance. She is a slow burn that grows warmer every day.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, Solana is hoping for someone who understands that the best love stories are the real ones. The ones with personality. The ones with patience. The ones that choose you back.

If you have room in your heart for a calico who is figuring things out one head scratch at a time, Solana is ready to meet you. 💗

Poppy + Iris – females, DOB: July 2025

Found growing together in the Woodbridge neighborhood of Detroit, Poppy (dark gray) and Iris (black) are a bonded pair of 6-month-old beauties who’ve blossomed into playful, curious little flowers.

These two sisters love to chase each other through the house, hunt their toy “mice,” and climb to secret hideouts where they can watch the world below. When playtime’s over, they can always be found curled up together in a sunny spot or cozy cardboard box making it a perfect picture of sisterly love.

Shy at first, Poppy and Iris just need a little patience to let their true colors show. Once they trust you, their sweetness blooms in full they are gentle purrs, goofy antics, and cuddles galore.

Fully weaned, spayed, and ready to find their forever garden, these two must be adopted together, after all, some flowers are meant to grow side by side. 🌼💛

Chester – male, DOB: 2024

Meet Chester.
Two years old. Orange tabby. Southwest Detroit native.
Professional sun-puddle collector. Part-time toy assassin. Full-time good boy.

Chester is one of those cats who knows how to exist beautifully in a home. When it is playtime, he is all in, batting toys like they personally offended him. When the toys are put away, he settles into calm mode, curls up, naps, waits for you to come home, and does not redecorate your furniture out of spite.

His foster caught him on camera while away at work: Chester either plays politely with his toys or sleeps like he is paying rent. No chaos. No drama. No shredded couch.

Other cats in his past were not very kind to him, and he did his best to defend himself, so we think Chester would thrive as your one-and-only.

He is energetic without being wild. Calm without being boring. Independent, but clearly fond of human company.

Chester is ready for a peaceful home, a soft place to land, and someone who wants a loyal companion instead of a full circus. Apply for Chester through the link in our bio!

Benny + Bobby – males, DOB: 2025

Bonded Pair

Meet Benny and Bobby.
Identical tabby brothers. Built from stripes, spots, and pure troublemaking charm. Found together in a colony off Michigan Ave in Southwest Detroit, and absolutely not interested in being separated ever again.

They come as a set. Like socks. Or trouble and more trouble. Or sunshine and its reflection.

Benny is the brave one. Curious, social, affectionate, always first to investigate a new toy, a new sound, or your business. If something is happening, Benny is already there.

Bobby is the soft one. A little shy at first, deeply loving once he decides you are safe, and a world-class snuggle bug who believes naps should be a group activity.

Together, they are a perfect balance. One explores. One observes. Then they wrestle, groom each other, chase invisible ghosts down the hallway, and fall asleep in a tangled pile of tiger stripes and spotted bellies.

Their coats are unreal. Bold stripes on top, freckles underneath. Nature showed off a little with these two.

If you have room in your home for twice the whiskers, twice the purrs, and twice the tiny pawprints following you from room to room, Benny and Bobby are ready to clock in as your new favorite roommates.

Two boys. One bond. Zero chance you only fall in love with one. So apply for these striped boys through the link in our bio!

Behavior with cats and dogs – good with both

They are incredibly sweet but very shy especially around hands and we believe they may have faced past abuse. Earning their trust won’t happen overnight, but once it comes, it’s pure magic. They’ll rub against you, seek out comfort, and show you that healing is possible. 🕊️

Special case price of $150 for both

Bonded Pair

Double void alert! Chai and Teddy Blue’s debut as a pair, these are spiritual twins born one year apart. The perfect Halloween duo, they each bring a little bit of magic and mystery.

With big round yellow eyes, Chai is a classic Halloween cat. Warm and cozy, she has a touch of spice as her name implies. She is brave and curious, usually being the first to explore new toys and treats.

Teddy Blue Teddy Blue is bewitchingly elegant, with a sleek coat and emerald-colored eyes. His combination of sweet meekness and openly affectionate nature is sure to charm the heart of all the humans in his future forever home.

Both FeLV positive yet craving the company of another cat, these two were lucky to find another FeLV positive cat to live with. They warmed up to each other right away and have become the best of friends. They love to play together, which usually means tiny Chai is tackling and gnawing on Teddy Blue’s ear. And Teddy, gentle soul that he is, takes it like a champ, often letting Chai feel like she’s winning before standing up and bounding away playfully. Chai is Teddy Blue’s mini-shadow. These two inspire confidence in one another, with Teddy Blue providing a calm, nurturing presence for Chai, and Chai bringing out the sweetness and curiosity in Teddy Blue. They mirror each other in personality, both with a great balance of playfulness and coziness. They love to be pet and cuddle with they’re human as much as they love to play and chase a wand toy. For that reason, I think they would be great with kids.
