Please note that due to the high demand for young kittens, most of our kittens get adopted from our social media posts before making it to this page. Our cats must be fixed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV tested and microchipped to officiate the adoption, and kittens need to be at least 8 weeks for their spay/neuter procedure. To see kittens that will be soon available, please check our Facebook and Instagram pages.

All cats are negative for FIV/FeLV unless otherwise stated.

Edwina and Alfrie, girls, DOB: May 2024

Meet Edwina and Alfie, two stunning, 7-month-old, bonded long-haired sisters from Detroit’s University District!

Their caretaker, despite battling allergies, made it a priority to handle them regularly, ensuring they could be socialized. When their foster heard about all four kittens (Edwina and Alfie’s identical sisters have already been adopted), they immediately made room for these beautiful pairs.

Typically, kittens rescued at this age struggle to adjust to human interaction, but Edwina and Alfie have truly blossomed in foster care.

*Alfie* is outgoing, vocal, and playful, while *Edwina* is more reserved. Once Edwina feels safe, she craves affection—place her on your lap, pet her back, and her purr motor starts, complete with biscuit-making!

As a bonded pair, Edwina and Alfie must be adopted together. They’d thrive in a quiet home with no other pets, where their new family can provide a gentle adjustment period. In return, they’ll bring you years of love and joy.

Both kittens are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FELV negative. Ready to meet them? They’re available now!

Alfred, male, DOB: 2024

Alfred (Alfie) is a friendly and energetic boy. He loves being close to his humans. He’ll greet you with leg rubs and chirps. Alfie loves sleeping in bed curled up as the little spoon. He was found in the Bagley neighborhood near Curtis in Detroit being picked on by other outdoor kitties.

You’ll often find him looking out of the window at the birds or lying in the sun.

He’s quite imaginative and loves to play. He can make a toy out of anything (rocks, hair ties, paper weights). His favorite toys are yarn balls and wand teasers. He’s very food motivated, with his favorite being turkey.

Alfie seems to be curious about dogs and unafraid of them. He also seems to be quite curious about other cats too. We are unsure about how Alfie might be with small children.

Oakley, male, DOB: 2022, FIV+

Oakley is a very sweet boy approximately 3 years old, found outside visiting anyone in the neighborhood that would pet him. He doesn’t shy away from people that come to meet him and he will come right up and nuzzle against any part of you he can reach. He isn’t much of a cuddler for naps, but he’s happy to be stretched out near you wherever you go. He doesn’t care much for toys (but maybe he just hasn’t found the right one!). He isn’t a picky eater and is very excited for every meal and any treats he can get. He is FIV+ so needs to be an only cat (or with other FIV+ cats). Not sure if good with other cats or dogs.

Owl, female, DOB: 2019, Special Case (shy)

Miss Owl was left outside in a carrier in the rain all night in front of DACC in 2021. She was shortly adopted in Hamtramck and she came in very scared and shy. When taken to get spayed, it turned out she already was, so she must’ve been someone’s pet, though she wasn’t microchipped. She preferred to live in one bedroom, her adopters office, and slowly got used to him and would sit on his lap during work from home pandemic time. The adopters had another lady cat at the time and Owl avoided her like the plague. They hissed if they made contact but didn’t fight. But recently, their other cat passed away and to their surprise, Owl started coming out of her room! She’s been having fun getting comfy in all corners of the house and has warmed up to people. She definitely needs to be an only cat though. Personality wise, she’s a big grumpy sausage that has grudgingly learned to like people. She likes snoozing in the sun, snuggling your feet at night, and climbing up into your lap for a few pats. Not too into toys unless it’s a string or a laser pointer, but she does love to tear up cardboard cat scratchers and do the post-poop zooms. She has grown on her humans very much but alas one of them developed terrible cat allergies recently, and needs to have a pet free home for a couple of years. Owl is a completely adoptable little chunk but will need time to warm up and single cat attention from her human. Fixed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative and with a reduced adoption fee of $60.

Artemis, female, DOB: 2022, Special Case (shy)

Artemis is a rare ginger girl of 1 year, rescued in Belle Isle last year with Shredder. She is an extremely effective huntress but can be somewhat scaredy of humans. She is highly energetic, intelligent, playful, and an entertaining companion once you gain her trust. Fixed, vaccinated, FIV/FeLV negative and available now! Reduced adoption fee of $60.
